Insights & compliance

Reports, analytics, budgets, forecasts, compliance and audit logs. Each section says what it is for, who uses it and how to do the main jobs there. Anything showing a padlock simply isn't in your current plan yet.

📑

Reports — ready-made reports, plus your own

Pick a report, set the period, and download it as CSV, Excel or PDF.

HR, Payroll, Finance & leadership (each sees their own categories)Analytics plan
Insights & Compliance › Reports

Reports are grouped into Categories: Payroll, Attendance, Leave, Expense, Workforce, Performance, Contractor and Executive CxO. You see only the categories your role allows. For example, a Payroll Admin sees Payroll; an HR Manager sees Attendance, Leave, Workforce and Performance for their department.

👁️Only people you can see — Workforce, Leave and Performance reports, and custom reports built on them, list only the people you can already see elsewhere in the app. An HR Manager gets their own department and any department they look after; company-wide roles get everyone.

Run a report

  1. Click a category on the left, then choose a Report (for example, Monthly Payroll Register, Late Arrivals, Leave Balance, Headcount Summary or Invoice Aging).
  2. Set the filters the report asks for — a month and year, a date, a date range (From/To) or a Department.
  3. Click Generate, then download with CSV, Excel or PDF.

Build your own report

  1. Click Custom Report in the categories list.
  2. Choose 1. Data source, pick and order the 2. Columns, and set any 3. Filters.
  3. Click Preview, or download straight away as CSV, Excel or PDF.
  4. Under Save & send, type a Report name and click the save button next to it to keep it under Saved reports, or type email addresses under Email as PDF and click Send.
📸Good to know — a report is a snapshot of the data at the moment you generate it. Money is shown in your company's currency.
📊

Analytics — your workforce at a glance

Headline numbers and trend charts for headcount, attrition, payroll cost and leave.

HR, Finance, managers & leadershipAnalytics plan
Insights & Compliance › Analytics

A read-only dashboard. Nothing you do here changes your data.

  • Tiles: Total Employees, Active, On Notice, New Joinees, On Leave Today and Pending Approvals.
  • Headcount by Department, an Attrition Trend over recent months, and a Payroll Cost Trend.
  • Leave Utilization per leave type. A small warning sign marks earned or annual leave where people still hold more than 15 days on average — a sign of a leave liability building up.
🔭Good to know — company-wide roles see the whole company. An HR Manager sees their own department and any department they look after; the Attrition Trend stays company-wide (it is labelled so), and the Payroll Cost Trend isn't shown to them. If your role only covers your own team, cards that need broader access say so instead of showing numbers. Payroll runs in a currency with no exchange rate are left out of the cost trend and marked.

Budget Allocation — plan and track department budgets

Give each department a budget for the year or a quarter, and compare it with what was actually spent.

Finance, HR Admins, Payroll Admins & leadership (HR Managers can view)Analytics plan
Insights & Compliance › Budget Allocation

The page lists your department tree with Allocated, Actual and Variance for each one. Actual adds up salaries (by the employee's department), expense and travel (through the cost center's department) and contractor billing. Each department's badge shows its total including sub-departments.

Set budgets

  1. Choose the Fiscal Year and the Period: Annual, or Quarterly and then the Quarter.
  2. Type an amount against each department. Add a note to explain a change if you like (for example, "Q3 hiring freeze — reduced").
  3. Click Save. The button shows how many changes you're saving.

To remove a budget, clear its amount and save — it moves to Archived. From there you can restore it, or delete it permanently (that can't be undone).

💡Why this matters — an amber line saying some spend is unattributed means money that can't be placed in a department: staff with no department, or travel and expenses on a cost center that isn't linked to one. Fix it under Operations › Projects › Cost Centers.

Finance Approvers, Tenant Admins, HR Admins, the CEO, the Board and the owner can change budgets. Others see the page read-only.

📈

Forecast — what will payroll cost next?

Try "what if" scenarios — a pay rise, people leaving, new hires — and see the cost against your budget.

Finance, HR Admins & leadershipOptionalAnalytics plan
Insights & Compliance › Forecast

The forecast starts from your average monthly payroll cost over recent months and projects it forward. It's a calculator — it doesn't change anything.

  1. Under Scenario, pick the Horizon: Next month, Next quarter or Next year.
  2. Enter a Salary hike %, an Attrition % (annual) and the number of Planned hires (spread evenly over the horizon).
  3. Click Run forecast. You see Baseline / month, Projected, Budget for the same months, the Variance and a month-by-month chart.
  4. Click Pin to compare to keep this scenario on the chart, change the numbers and run again to compare.
✅Tip — the budget figure comes from Budget Allocation. Set this year's budgets there first, or the comparison is empty.
🛡️

Compliance — policies people must read, and POSH complaints

Publish company policies, see who has acknowledged them, and give everyone a safe way to raise a complaint.

Everyone reads; HR Admins, Tenant Admins & the owner publishCompliance plan
Insights & Compliance › Compliance

Three tabs: Policies (grouped by category), My Pending (policies you still need to acknowledge) and POSH.

Publish a policy

  1. On Policies, click Create Policy.
  2. Give it a title, a category (HR, IT, Finance, Compliance, Safety or General) and a Policy scope: all employees, one country, or one Location.
  3. Write the Content. Headings, bullet lists and tables all work.
  4. Switch on Require acknowledgement if everyone must confirm they've read it. Click Create policy — it is saved as a draft.
  5. When it's ready, choose Publish on its row. Everyone it applies to is notified.

The Acknowledged column shows how many people have confirmed (for example, 42/50). You can Edit a policy only while it's a draft. Delete moves it to Archived — it is kept, not erased.

For every employee

  • Open My Pending and click Read & Acknowledge. Read the policy and click Acknowledge. You only do this once per policy.
  • To raise a POSH (sexual harassment at the workplace) complaint, open POSH, click File Complaint, enter a Category if you like and a Description, and submit. You see your own complaints and their status; HR sees the full register.
💡Why this matters — a recorded acknowledgement is your proof that each person was told about a policy. It's far stronger than "we emailed it once".
📜

Audit Logs — who did what, and when

A permanent record of sign-ins and important changes across your company's account.

The owner, Tenant Admins & Role AdminsCompliance plan
Insights & Compliance › Audit Logs

Each row shows the Action (for example, Signed in, Created, Approved, a payroll run released), the Entity it touched, the User, the IP Address and the Time. Audit Logs come with the Compliance feature — if it shows a padlock, it isn't in your plan.

  1. Pick an Action, and/or type an Entity Type (for example, Employee or Leave).
  2. Click Search. Click Clear to go back to everything.
  3. Use Previous and Next to page through, 50 rows at a time.
🔐Good to know — nobody can edit or delete these entries. Many screens also keep their own history — for example, the Audit Log button on an expense claim.
